No, I don't think dance tights are like support hose. They are not as sheer, for one thing. Dance tights are just plane tights, like plane pantyhose only thicker material, perhaps with some dance-specific features (thicker foot, for example). They are not there for support. It's just clothes to cover your legs. Support hose provides hmmm extra support for whatever is necessary.

Dance tights are thicker & better quality than support hose or other tights that you'd buy at your average store. Go to a dance supply store & try some, they're tight & uncomfortable at 1st but once you're used to them thats all you'll wear.

I have heard of the tights thing ....
which I belive is a great invention!!!
i would tell you that it can improve your posture
and adjust support where it is needed.
