I think that they look good on both girls and guys, and i want to buy some. But I would not know what to wear with it (tops, jewlery, shoes) or what length and color. I need advice before I go out and get a pair! lol.

Well, you can either get the plaid Bermuda shorts, which are the ones that stop at your knee. Or you can get the regular pair shorts, which are just regular cut. The one thing about the plaid Bermuda shorts, is that if you are uncomfortable with your lower thighs, I wouldn't suggest you wear them, because, if you have more larger lower thighs, it's not right. The Bermuda shorts are made for people who are medium built. I have a pair of regular plaid shorts and they are really comfortable, but just be aware that they don't stretch either.
When you are picking out a color you also want to look at your skind tone. If you are tan, you want to go with a more darker looking plaid because if you get a light colored pattern, it'll make you look orange, trust me. But, if you're fair skinned like me, the best suggestion I have as far as the base color, get white. It makes you look tanner against your light skin. If you do have a fair complextion and get dark colored ones, it'll make you look even paler. As far as what you wear with it, jewelry is really not nessicary at all. Also, any plain shirt would go cute with the plaid shorts because people that wear shirts that has stuff on the shirt, just looks bad, you can't do a pattern and a pattern, it'll just clash and look really, really bad.

I would stick to earth toners (browns and tans). You wear them with a solid color top (in the same color family - can even match one of the colors on them if you can find a top to match). You can wear longer necklaces with them as well as dangley or hoop earrings. I have seen them from mid-thigh to knee length. All are very cute! The good thing is that they also look good with flats as well as heels. Sticking to an earth tone means you can wear whatever brown shoes you have with them as well.

They look really good in any color with pretty much any top but i think i've only seen them worn with flip flops or stilletos. Here is a website with really cute outfits that match the shorts your talking about for under $20 there called bermuda shorts.

plaid shorts are the cutest! as for a shirt to wear with them...if the pair of shorts is different colors, wear a plain shirt of one of the colors on them. and i don't know what to tell you about shoes and accessories lol. you're on your own on that.

I love them, I have about six pair. I wear them to work if there down to my knees, they look cute with wedges or flats. I dress them up with cute blazers but if I want to go casual I wear them with flipflops and a tank. If your really young I would get the really short ones, Im to old now to wear those, so wear them for me!!

You could get like a pair of plaid lowtop converse or vans. Or maybe a solid shirt in black or red((depending on color of plaid-iness)) For jewelry maybe black or red or maybe a pair of small diamond earrings or a nice chain

well, i have 2 pairs of plaid short shorts and i just love them. one i got from aeropostale they are pink and grey. the other one is from hollister and they are red, blue, and white.
(i wear them with black flats.)

yeah, you can wear them, put only with SOLID COLOR SHIRTS!!!! if you wear some with designs on shirts, it looks to busy and causes people's eyes to cross! good luck
