I love it. Great concept but they tend to say that the kind of articles I look for don't belong. But I did find that they do a parallel set of wiki's that can cover my interests. Let's see if I can explain. When I look up aircraft design or rocket science, the first thing I want to see is the list of standard definitions in the field, followed by the standard formulas, preferably the algebraic forms followed by the calculus versions so those with different levels of training can try to follow the discussion. Then I expect discussion of the field, different known options and designs, and current limitations. I also like to see discussion of future possibilities and current questions. But then, I collect old (pre-1950) textbooks and encyclopedias, because they used to assume both competence and common sense on the part of the reader, who was assumed to be looking for real world information. In other words the article should be a good starting point if I was planning to take a course in a technical subject I had never seen before.

I used to use Wikipedia a lot when I found the site about two years ago, but soon I convinced myself about vandalism, false information, dated information etc. staying on-line for a couple of weeks and I also had experiences with arrogant, ignorant users who kept bringing back false information after I or somebody else corrected it, so now I'm only using it when I need some quick facts. When I really want to learn something, I rather choose a more reliable source.

I love it. Obviously you can't put 100% trust in all articles, but based on the articles I have read, and checking the sources of those arrticles, it is for the most part a very comprehensive and reliable tool.

When I need information about a famous person or historical events, the wikipedia is the fist place I go.

Free online encyclopedia!
What could be bad about that?
A collection of encyclopedia's will cost you an arm and a leg. Wikipedia is FREE!!! Plus, since it's digital, it can be updated, or corrected when it needs to be. For example, any paper encyclopedia printed before this year will always have Pluto as a Planet, and won't have anything that has happened this year. So, eventually it's out of date or maybe inaccurate and you're out of money.

Its a great resource. And has good opinions. Most of it is true and seems very much truthful in my opinion. I adore it. And use it alot. Especially, for biblical stuff or interesting facts on health.

I love for when i'm just curious about something and want to get more information. However, we're not allowed to use it as a resource for school projects :\

High. You have the occassional element of bias or point of inaccuracy but that's more than compensated for by the lively air of say-what-you-want and forget about the mass media angle.
