I am wondering if this ever came across your mind, or not, when it comes to serving others. And, am curious to know how many people in this world, will choose which one. Would appreciate it, if many respond to this . . . thanks!

What I am saying here, is that when you serve or help out others you don't know, when it comes to service, how do you view it? Must choose one, or the other, not both. lol.

Slacker Cat . .love does not come and go . .love lasts forever.
You are talking about "lust," which abusing of the wonderful purpose of sex, its using sex in a evil way . .for the wrong reasons . . I do not agree with you on that.

Without a doubt if I chose to serve in the way you described, it would be for love. Otherwise it would be a job rather than something from the heart.

As far as I am concerned, to help or aid another is an act of kindness and compassion and to expect nothing in return because you are doing it from the heart. To take money for it would to exploit those in need and gain something from anothers suffering.

You do not have to be a Christian to freely give help and compassion, you just need to have the capacity to care for strangers the way you care for yourself or your loved ones.

With all our young men and women going to "war", I guess I would say its not for the money..... but for love of country and family....... If I had to serve in any capacity , doing anything, it would have to be for love.......... you cant take money with you when you die, but the love of others would be a great comfort when you leave this world...........

"serve" implies a one-way relationship that can be rather unhealthy. I prefer to think that we aid each other, and let others aid us.

Depends on what i'm serving. If its kittens at the animal shelter I will go for free. If its at mc donalds I want money.
