You had throat surgery, and had a tube put between your vocal cords. Your voice is going to be funny for a while. It will come back to normal. If you are an adult it will take longer than if you are a child. You will have a sore throat for a week or so, and the best thing you can do is to try to eat and drink normally.

Hi, Ghost. I've been concerned about you, since you mentioned you planned to have surgery. I'm glad you've come through it with flying colors. I was 29 when I had my tonsils out, the adenoids are still there.

I agree that this is probably a temporary thing while you're still healing, but you really should ask your doctor. I've found that any soreness in the mouth is quickly healed by Listerine, but be warned: It's brutal. You might check with your doctor on that, too.

how old are you? i ask b/c if you're young, it's common for the voice to be a bit higher after this surgery. it happened to my friends daughter as well. i didn't even recognize her voice on the phone. it stayed with her. her voice never went back to the way it was though it did lower a bit after a couple months.
