my laptop is like 5-6 yrs old...i feel like its dying!!! :(

depends. it seems like theres constantly new stuff coming out that our computers would get outdated faster than they should. my laptop is about 2 years old and already i feel like i need a newer one.

I would say between 5-7 years, or until no matter what you do, it starts acting really funny & doesn't seem to ever recover. (I've had several computers, and kept each for about that long before having to replace them for one reason or other.)

Once it no longer supports or is easily upgraded to support the programs you want it to run and the functions you want it to perform; then its too old ( for you).

3-4 i have had mine four about 3.5 years and its starten to slow down
