What kind of paint will work the best and last the longest on fabric? I'm stenciling designs onto a bed set.

You can use regular acrylic paint, but I'd recomment using a textile medium. You can get it at any craft store that you would buy the paint at and you mix it into the acrylic paint and it will keep the paint from cracking--even through washings and such.

I agree with Pat C try going to a craft store to get fabric paint. Not all paints are long lasting. I like using the acrylic paints myself.

You can also try the oil based paints as opposed to water based paints.

Hope I have helped you.

There are paints that are formulated to use on fabrics. Every craft store sells them. Look for 'Fabric Paints' in the section where they have the things to decorate tee shirts. They usually are not with the regular craft paints.
