I have to do a 'close reading' on this book for english class, and was hoping anyone could suggest a passage (around 200 words) to focus on? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

I have read the book and loved it! I'm just having trouble picking one passage and was just wondering what passages really stuck out to others?

As the person above me said:

The opening passage is the one that really grabs you.

Have you read 'Lucky' - Alice Seabold's autobiographical book?
It really explains how she was able to write the Lovely Bones.

Did you read the book? there are many good passages to focus on.
Do the work.

Do the one at the end, where she mentions the title 'the lovely bones.' I think she is discussing the connections between the people in her life that were strengthened because of her murder. If the title is named after that part, then it's important.

The first part. "My name was Salmon, like the fish; first name Susan." "I was *** when I was murdered..." Take the next several hundred words from there.
