SP2 is requred to install WMP 11. If you want that version of Media Player, you need to install the Windows service pack.

There are plenty of other reasons to install SP2 other than being able to run the latest version of Media Player. Check your hard drive, see what you can delete, and install SP2. Your computer will thank you!

You NEED SP2 to continue the installation or it wont work. From personal expirience.....Windows media player 11 sucks. I downloaded it once and its hard to find songs, really sloppy, freezes alot and many bugs. Dont download it, you'd probebly want to go back to media player 10.

No its quite impossible you need sp2 to run that programme, and others like it, and by the way you need sp2 its a major patch for Windows and a lot of programmes will not work if you do not have it.

Big Smoke hit the nail on the head. I would rather use Real Player but that too has it's faults.
