We have had our ps3 hooked to a thirteen inch old old tv and the graphics looked amazing even without hd.

What games do you like? Make your chioce based on that....

As far as I'm concerned it shouldn't even be a question which one. It is a fact that the 360 is a piece of crap. Plus by the time you buy the HD add-on(only used for movies) and xBox live, you have spent way more than you would if you were to just buy a PS3.

As far as the games go, of course 360 has more. It came out a year before. But even so, the only game that anyone talks about when talking about the 360 is Halo 3. Compare the games coming out for the PS3 to the games coming out for the 360. There is no comparison.

And the PS3 has HOME coming out this fall. If you don't know what it is, check it out:

I guess its obvious I am suggesting the PS3.

Whichever one you choose the graphics wont look as good as on a HD-TV, they will look good though, (appreciably better than PS2, Xbox).
I'd choose PS3 (and i did and i still have a CRT tv, though i realllllly want a new HD one). The 360 can easily become as expensive as the PS3 with add-ons and online costs, and you get everything in one box with the PS3.
There's isn't too great a difference in games at present. 360 has had longer in the market and has built up a decent catalogue of games, but the PS3s is improving and, i reckon, will have a better range of games in the long run.

i think that u should buy an x-box 360 because its got very good graphics (good as the ps3's) and its cheaper plus the only reason the ps3 is expensive is because of its graphics but if u don't have a HD TV then its no good.
but still buy the ps3 if u want to

if you plan on not being disappointed a year from now until the next generation comes out you should buy a ps3, with the extra money you are buying the leading bluray movie player, the most advanced technology, free online play with home, motion sensing controller, wifi and bluetooth tech, more than enough memory, most importantly... reliability!

with 360 you are buying a rapidly declining head start at a bit of a cheaper price. hey, its a great system, but not for my money.

You should buy a PS3 because it's the best gaming system. It has a blu-ray drive, it supports HD, and has a lot of other cool features. The only negative thing about it is the price.

I'd get a 360.
-cheaper
-nearly the same graphics (w/ hd or not)
-Best Game Library (Halo 3 will be out soon)

And you should get Gears Of War with the money you saved from not buying a ps3.
