we are letting the youth generation grow up with no respect (though not my kids) for anything, no empathy for others and definatly no respect for the elderly that won their freedom!!
we have made political correctness our new bible, which the youth of today are using against us, to attain dominance. people are frightend to approach groups of youths outside their homes for fear of reproach by the police or having their heads kicked in, or worse, as we have seen of late.
the trouble stems from parents, let me give you an example:
while in the corner shop the other day, a young lad was pretending to steal stuff from the shelves, which the owner saw as being a distraction for his friends to actually steal stuff, so he asked the youth to leave, the youth promptly told the owner to F' off, then started to kick the stands by the door, the owner grabbed the lad and pushed him out of the door. A few minutes later a woman came in screaming that he shouln't have touched her son!

Arh the "new Generation" well this is a very good question silvertongue!
I must say i have no faith whatsoever in the new generation of children just where have we gone wrong?
Are children now all supreme rulers because that is what it seems like to me nobody has any power over kids these days not even the police.
For parents all they get is if you touch me i will ring childline and tell them you smacked me, teachers suffer abuse everyday at the hands of unruly children, and are unable to take action, ok they can be excluded from school but ultimatly what good is that, they then become unruly uneducated louts!!!! then the police, well here again we had a problem with a gang of youths picking on a lone elderly woman across the avenue to us, i saw this and asked my husband to go out and stop it as the lady was in obvious distress, next thing the police were knocking on our door as one of the children said to his mother that my husband had shouted at her son and had no right!!! The police said they were in total disbelief to this as this meant no action could be taken against the child because they have to tred carefully for public relations!!!!
This meant
the child got away completely with his behaviour towards an elderly lady, is this what it has come to, Parents today are more bothered about suing other people for compensation than the actual behaviour of their children.
A lot of parents are brilliant and their children are a credit to them which is how it is supposed to be, kids are an extension of YOU!!!!! so what does that say !!!!

Too many reasons to mention. One that I think is significant is these are the children of parents who have refused to really grow up and accept the full responsibility of being parents and good role models. People sem to think they can start a family and not have it change their lives at all. Having a kid should be the most important thing a person can do, it's not like ordering pizza - it does and should have an impact.
The abuse of the human rights act and the neutralising of school dicipline are others. It's a mess and it won't get better any time soon.

I know what you mean...bring back national service (is that what it's called?) The one like on Bad Lads Army. Damn it made eself look a bit thick there. But yeah I do agree. I am a youth of today and I hate those around me being so disrespectful! I am soooo patriotic and think we all owe alot to those who fought for this country and so we should treat them and each other with respect. They don't seem to care though. There are still some good young people out there...i hope :-S
Oh and though I was brought up to have respect and am respectful I don't think that parents can be completely to blame. If kids get in with the wrong crowd their own morals can go out of the window!

Shocking. It is nothing to do with "do-gooders" (whatever that means in English!) If the parents were DOING any GOOD they would not be producing such horrible obnoxious children.
Clearly, that mother is not an effective parent. The shop owner should be entitled to defend his livelihood, and the mother should discipline her child and not defend him absolutely without question, she is doing him no favours in the long term.

"But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."
2 Timothy chapter 3 v 1-5
The first few words of this quote hold the secret to hope, "last days". No not the last days of this beautiful earth where we live but the last days of this evil wicked system of things.

the incident in the shop will probably answer your question.. Where was the father? .. these kids are growing up either with a "new dad" or one that doesn`t bother with them because he`s out fathering some other poor unfortunate!

I think it's because of family brake down, lack of discipline in schools and the fact that extended family's live apart. History needs passing on and parents don't have the skills naturally just because they are able to make a baby.
