do you ever get a piece of shell (the opaque skin like piece after popping) stuck on your tongue so far down that you can't reach it with you finger? It feels like a piece of glass suctioned to your tongue.

No, I get it stuck under my bridge and cannot get it out for what seems like forever. Be careful you don't throw up on yourself trying to get that piece. LOL
