The computer lags. I have high speed internet, and a Radeon 8500 Series video card but in windows, typing this itself is showing up after i push the buttons on the keyboard. I keep thinking its my motherboard, any ideas?

YES, it should be fast enough. Something is running in the background that is grabbing the processor's attention while you are typing. Open Task Manager, choose Processes tab. Look at CPU column and find the processes that are using CPU resource. The process that is NOT a system process and NOT related to what you are currently doing is the culprit. Try ending that process then observe the speed. Ending the process does not delete it from your system. It will load again when you reboot. You can disable startup processes in msconfig. Just click on Start, Run, type msconfig, click OK. Select the Startup tab.
