I have a 2000 Honda CRV. When I'm on a steep hill I roll back a little when I left off the accelerator. My car is an automatic. Is this normal?

it is perfectly normal if you are on a steep hill. The only thing that keeps the transmission from rolling backwards is the hydraulic pressure that is applied to the internal clutches of the transmission. when you come to a stop, the engine speed drops down and the pump that supplies the pressure spins at a slower rate. there is an internal clutch that has to engage to prevent the vehicle from freewheeling backwards and often it will take 1/2 of one tire rotation to do that.

if you don't have any slippage in the transmission and the transmission operates normally otherwise, then there's nothing to worry about.

a low engine idle contribute to this as well. I would recommend you have that checked during your next service but I don't see any reason for you to be alarmed from your description.

hope that answers your question

Yes, its normal. If you are on a steep hill with an automatic, it will roll backwards. If it is a small hill, the car will stay in its place.

Yes, it's normal, depending on how steep the hill is. It happens on many cars and trucks.

I have a 2004 Honda CRV and would like to know if the drivers side interior door handle is supposed to unlock the drivers door when pulled or do you have manually unlock door?
