The answer to your question as asked is Abraham Lincoln, but there have been medallions/medals or tokens with many presidents on them though the year on them (if there is a year) is never the date of manufacture, but it is a date of commemoration. Keep in mind that George Washington did not become US President until 1789 while he died in 1799, and no living person has ever been put on a US coin.

Actually it was Abraham Lincoln, who first appeared on the penny in 1909 (released on August 2), under a plan put forward by Teddy Roosevelt in honor of the centennial of Lincoln's birth.

George Washington came next, in 1932, then Jefferson in 1938, and FDR in 1946 (on the quarter, nickel and dime, respectively).

Later came the Kennedy half-dollar (1964), and Eisenhower dollar (1965).

Finally, in 2005 an act was signed that will see four different dollar coins each year, honoring ALL the Presidents, in the order they served. It began with Washington on Feb 15, 2007, then John Adams in May.
