hi,

on my site there is a php coding error. it is showing a blank page.

any idea why this would be happening? would it show this because the database is not connecting to it?

your webserver is most likely configured to not display the php error message. This can be changed in the php.ini file if you have access to it, look for the line display_errors and make sure it says On. It is a good idea to leave it not show the errors tho since an error message can display sensitive information. Check the error logs on the server as it is most likely getting logged on the server instead of being displayed.
