As a straight guy, I just see him as a funny (and great) film character. People say the Pirates movies have this "gay pirate vibe" flowing though them, but I don't see it. What exactly are people talking about?

Well, I didn't see it either. However, I think some people take the pirate Jack Sparrow portrayed as somewhat effeminate.
Did you see him run in the second picture? I just liked the movie and the originality of the series.
You can't do anything these days without being called "gay" - and supposedly everyone is cool with that anyway.

Sometimes he can just have the mannerisms there when he deals with different situations, I guess. I would say the way that he walks and the way his hands are kind of in girly manners. Other than that I don't think he is that gay in the movie, just a little bit, you really have to go back and look at the movie and just watch for what he does, then you will notice.

Well there is the story about sailor's being at sea a little too long (wink wink). But no, I do not think Jack Sparrow is gay.
Now going onto mental problems he may have is a whole nuther kettle of fish. I think he is a few sandwiches short of a picnic, but he is not gay.

The tons of khol around his eyes, his camp way of speaking and the way he wiggles his hips might be a couple of small clues ;-)
But he's only a film character and the film is only meant to entertain, so don't read too much into it.

Well, he is kind of flamboyantly dressed and tends to glide and swagger when he walks, so I can see how people might get that impression. It's not true, though. That's just Jack ... errrr, CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow, that is. :-)

They say that??? I have never heard of that. I think that Captain Jack is straight, in fact, extremely straight. In the first movie, it is implied that he is sort of a playboy. Straight or gay, that man rocks!
