The Catholic Church is faith-based and the scientific community is based on repeatable experiments and human observations.

There's no reason to say only one has to be true. (Unless you say the bible is scientific -- which it was never intended to be.) A deeper understanding of what the Bible means by "Adam and Eve were the first on earth" is required. Some religious authorities will take it literally. This is the simplest approach (which, yes, I don't believe). Other's will "interpret" (which I believe is REQUIRED for us mere humans to even begin to understand the infinity of God's plan).

Yes, Chas Chas would also believe that Noah managed to squeeze tens of thousands of different animals on the ark.

When the Bible was written people only knew of a handfull of land animals. Now we know there are tens of thousands.

So, there was Noah winging his way all over the world getting Jaguars and Sloths in south America, Bison and Caribou in North America, Kangeroos and Koalas in Australia, giant flightless Moa birds in New Zealand, and so on and so on.

I shake my head in frustration that anyone in the modern world could be naïve enough to believe such garbage.

And all that he says about dinosaurs and man co-existing is absolute rubbish. No dinosaur bones are even bone any more – they are stone. The dating of dinosaurs is not disputed by any scientist in the world. Do these people really think that millions of scientists would go along with something that was so flawed.

And the frightening thing is that if you were to take the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament of the Christian Bible is the same) and the Muslim Bible (the Quran), at many places in each tome, God tells the believers that they should kill non-believers. So, if you believe the whole word of the Bible or the Quran, then Jews, Christians and Muslims should be killing each other without pity.

And as you notice, the hard liners do just that.

OK...well, the Catholic church does believe in the Bible...but the pope has also indicated that the church accepts evolution. Many Catholics see the stuff in Gen. 1 and 2 as symbolic or as a protohistory that teaches more about the identity and character of God rather than a chronology of the formation of the universe.

BTW...science doesn't teach that the "first thing on earth" were dinosaurs.

Well, I went to Catholic schools all my life and they taught me that Adam and Eve was just a story (yes, just a story, not true life) to get a point across that God created Earth. Therefore, the science idea is correct. Even my priests say so.

The Bible says that dinosaurs (and all land animals) were created on the sixth day. So were Adam and Eve.

'Science' does not say dinosaurs were created millions of years ago. Some people do - based on evolutionary assumptions.
Science is completely compatible with the idea that dinosaurs and man were created on day 6 a few thousand years ago.

Those that think the dinosaurs died out millions of years ago are perhaps unaware of the large amount of evidence indicating that they lived recently alongside man.

There are many written accounts and depictions of dinosaurs.

Remember that the word dinosaur was invented in 1841. Before that people used names like dragon.
People from all over the world have accounts of dinosaurs: the Chinese who have incorporated it into their lunar calendar, The Welsh who have the dragon in their flag; The account of the Saxon Beowolf; The native american thunderbird; and other stories from many other nations. The Romans even made mosaics of them.

Furthermore, dinosaur fossils have even been found containing blood cells - hardly 65 million years old.

But check the evidence for yourself - don't by brainwashed by dogmatic evolutionists who don't want us to think for ourselves :)

The Biblical record of Creation was revealed by Our Creator.
The Evolution Theory was conconcted by Man, and revealed only as a theory which may or may not represent reality.
