Ugh, I know this one. When you desperately find happiness in places that you know that happiness isn't. I'm guilty.

Sometimes you can have a moment of clarity where you realize that you have been.. well.. not yourself as of late.. that would be a realization of sorts... .. kind of like being hit with an epiphany. Lots of people aren't crazy every day.. just many days... but in the end I think we are all a little nutty... sanity is just about how well we control our insane moments...

We're all crazy.. some of us just play the role of sanity better than others.

I think it all depends on what the definition is. Some people think losing your mind is making a wrong decision, some think it means mental disfunction. If you are talking about mental breakdown, and deteriation, I think it all depends on what is causing it. I would say black outs, would be a sign. Irrational behavior might be another. Although if someone is truely going mad, it might be up to their peers to see the signs. I don't know how reliable a mad person would be to diagnose their own problem.

three major clues: well, first of all, yu start to notice that yu are asking or answer questions or answers that don't make any sense. another is that yu forget so many things. things that yu usually remember such as, paying the bills, or turning off yu computer. yet another is when everyone around yu says yu are losing yur mind, or talking nonsense or something like that. that usually isn't a good sign. hope this hellped!!!

In order for someone to realize they are "losing their mind", they would have to have been aware of being in touch with reality at one time, in order for them to realize they were slipping into a world of delusion.

We can't realize that we are losing our mind, if we aren't consciously aware of ever having one to begin with.

you know you loose your mind once you start making questions about it... LOL!!!

nah... i think it is when you can´t control any situation, once you can´t analize and ponder in a "normal" way... meaning they can´t deal with reality at some level... maybe you can´t get why 2+2=4 or maybe you just feel you need to hurt someone... or even you may think you are Kptn. Krunch... it depends on who looses his mind.

I've heard it said more than once that someone who is truly insane never questions his sanity. I really don't think you would know, you would think everything that's happening is perfectly logical and normal
