DEFINETELY! He is what we Football Fans refer to as a "PLAYMAKER". He is a smaller version of reggie bush. And i totally agree with you. With LT, Turner, and Sproles, no team comes close to san Diego. And i'm a Ravens fan saying this. I am simply amazed by what i saw out of that little guy last night. They have to keep him. I'm not a guru of the Chargers depth chart, so i'm not sure if he's a return man, but if he isn't, he should be. He has big play potential written all over him. Again, Darren Sproles should make the Chargers roster.

Sproles is the smallest guy in the NFL ain't he? He's a pretty good Kick Returner...I know San Diego has several guys that can do that...and if Turner is on the way out next season...they might have to see Sproles play a little more to make a decision on whether or not he's the guy to back up LaDainian. Sproles was hurt last year...I think he missed the whole season didn't he? I think he'll make the roster.

I think he deserves to make the team. I played football with him in high school and watched him practice and work out when he was playing at Kansas State. He's worked his butt off to be able to compete against guys that dominate him in size. He's got great speed, good vision and can hide behind those big offensive linemen then just explode into the secondary before the linebackers even know where he's at. Also, he's great at returning kicks, he can catch the ball well out the backfield and he'd be great to have on the team as a backup RB in case LT or Turner goes down.

As a Chiefs fan, I normally don't want to see anybody on the
Chargers succeed but since we're both Olathe North Alum and he's the only NFL player to come out of our little city in Kansas, I'd love to see him make the team and do some real good for the Chargers this season.

L.T. is good but not the Best running back in NFL History. You won't have 3 offensive lineman from the same team in the HOF sorry. Jay Ratliff of the Cowboys is way better than Williams. No punter will ever be in the HOF except for maybe Ray Guy one day. No long snapper will ever be in the HOF. Sproles is good but doesn't get enough playing time to get in the Hall. Merriman can't stay healthy enough to get in the Hall.

I hope he does. Turner is gone at the end of the year, so it would be wise to keep him on the roster not only this year, but next year as well. That way they will have a RB who knows the system.

If he wants to secure a spot, he needs to excel in special teams and break off a few long runs. he may be small, but he plays BIG!

I remember watching Sproles when he played at Kansas State. He has always been a good tailback, its just his size that makes people question his ability (only 5'6). In college it was OK to be a smaller back BUT in the NFL its a draw back. Like Madden said last night when he comes in you know its going to be a screen or a draw. I think he's a great change of speed back when you need a spark or a chunk of yards. I hope he makes the roster, if a team judges him on his talent instead of size he's DEFINITELY IN!

He darn well better be. Have you seen him in the open field. That little guy is fast. He could use that speed to get a lot of yards quickly. He has great potential. If we don't keep him, he'll make a name for himself somehwere else, just like Turner will become bigger when he moves on.

I'm not worried though. It's not like the Charger let go of perfectly good players (McCardell, Brees, Carney the list goes on).

no doubt he is still young and can be used as a servicable returner and in the rare occasion that LT misses a game he can spell turner well.

You read my mind; he should definitely be on the roster. He'll be a great addition to the Charger's arsenal of WMDs.
