Generally, cuts that are wider than a centimeter, show fatty tissue, or continue bleeding for more than 10 minutes require stiches.
If any of these apply to you, go to an ER or Urgent Care and get fixed up.

No one can tell what happened to you from the information you are giving us. If applying strong direct pressure does not stop the bleeding, then you are going to have to go for medical help. You may ask why. The reason is that the bleeding must be stopped and if you or someone who doesn't know enough applies a tourniquet, you can lose your arm, get gangrene etc.... Be smart.

apply direct pressure with a sterile pad -keep the area clean -and sterile -use antibiotic ointment - wrap it up with a bandage and you really should get to a hospital - as soon as possible-even if you need to lie about how it happened -you might be risking your life -if you dont get professional medical help

do you think they won't see it? you'll have to tell your folks about it. you need to think about infection and if it's gaping, it'll need stitches. fess up unless you don't care what happens to your arm.
