I've recently purchased a couple seasons of All in the Family and the Jeffersons. Up until then I'd never seen either shows, and while the political and social humor is dated a little, it was one of the funniest things I've watched in a long time.

Instead of having the abrasive racial, and political tones of South Park, Mind of Mencia, or Dave Chappelle I'm looking for a show with social and political humor that's has a little more multi-layered context. Does a show like that currently exist? Or how can I suggest that to a TV studio? Right now, I think America needs another Archie Bunker.

Additionally, the only show I can think of that comes even remotely close is the animated show, 'The Boondocks' on Adult Swim.

Peter Griffin from family guy is so Archie Bunker - and they get away with it today because he's animated.

The Office - if you can buy into the concept is also extremely funny.

There are no shows of the quality and political incorrectness of the Jeffersons or All. Norman Lear was a comedic genius, but the USA's values shifted and no one can laugh at themselves anymore. If those shows were on, he would probably be sued.
