I love it. I'm a Sparks season ticket holder. I like the effort they put into it, and I think all the players are doing a wonderful job of showing women in a positive non-sexist role.
Also, I only pay $14 per game, instead of the $500 per game I'd pay for the same seat at an NBA game.

My oppion of the Wnba is that it is better than the NBA. I mean sure they dont make near as much money as the NBA but they are doing what they love, playing basketball. You turn the tv on a Wnba game and you dont see the dunking or the showing off. You turn on an NBA game and that all you see. Also, everyday a NBA player is getting into some kind of trouble with the police, when was the last time you saw a Wnba player getting into alot of trouble? The Wnba raises money for all sorts of charitys, they have Tamika Catchings, Diana Taursi, and Lisa Leslie all doing clinics and reading programs.

Danielle, I understand where your coming from, but honestly who watches the wnba? I saw like 5 minutes of a game and got bored and changed the channel. I like it because of the fact that women get to do their thing and all that nice stuff, but it is no where near as popular as the NBA. Your argument about charity work is really weak...have you ever seen all those NBA Cares commercials? Usually every major player has some sort of charity or foundation, or they donate lots of cash to medical studies and such. You make it seem like everyday in the news some other nba player is getting n trouble. People forget that they are human, they have lives, they have their share of problems...money doesn't buy happiness...my opinion of the wnba...the league will be gone within a couple of years.

While I can't claim to be a fan of the WNBA, I am a huge fan of women getting equal opportunity as men to become professional athletes. I know they don't get the money, celebrity status, or respect that the men do, but they deserve at least a fair portion due to their hard work and dedication to making the league a success. I can only hope the league doesn't go under in the coming years so my daughters can one day aspire to become professional athletes just as I know my sons will.

Waste of time. I mean, 10 or so years ago woman were complaining about getting there own league, and when they finally do, no one cares. I don't see any arena's getting sold out. I don't know any woman who support or respect the WNBA. I'm suprised it lasted as long as it has, but it'll end soon. I'm sure it's fun for them, but like I said, waste of ESPN air time.
