PERMIT at 16, license at 18. It doesnt matter, tho, I used to drive my friends cars at 14 and 15.

They should issue licenses to those 18 and up, and they should begin re-testing every 2 years and possible taking licenses away at 60.

I know I'm going to get a lot of thumbs down but I think the driving age should be 21. Teenage drivers only make up 13% of drivers but cause 43% of accidents. There's a part of the brain that effects your ability to make good judgements that's not developed until your early twenties. Of course if the driving age gets moved to 21, public transit needs to step up to be more accessible and effiecient.
I think the age licences should be taken away depends on the drivers ability.

start at 18 and re-test at age 55 every 2 or 3 years after.

18 at the youngest - retest at age 21 & every two years thereafter. Remove licenses from only those who can't pass test - regardless of age.

18 first issued. re-test every 10 years, not 4. only take them away for bad eye sight or some other impairment as well as dui's. good luck.

i think the legal age should start at 18 and a renewal test at 50.

Get license - 18.
Retest at 40 and every 5 years thereafter until 60. Then retest every 2 years.

starting at 65 they should re-test every few years (2-3)
