My neighbor put up a fence on her property and now wants to put a lien on my house so I can pay for half of it, there is no contract. What should I do?

You don't need to do anything. She can put up all the fences on her property she wants, and she has no legal right to expect you to pay for it. She provided the materials and labor, or hired someone too, and she alone is responsible for all costs incurred during the construction of the fence.

You're kidding, right? They put up the fence, on their property, you had nothing to do with it. They have no right to either make you pay or put a lien on your house. They're trying to scare you into paying. Don't worry about it.

Your neighbor is an idiot. You don't have to do anything. Legally, you owe her nothing and she can't put a lien without a court judgement and she'll get laughed out of court.

Ignore her. She's clueless! Unless you entered into a contract with her to build the fence and share the cost she has no claim whatsoever.

She's full of it. Ignore her.
