I'm just looking for some official numbers on how many UFO sightings per year since 1947 there's been (on average). I don't want the answers to dissolve into a "they're real / they're not" match, I just need a reliable source on how many have actually been reported, or a website with similar statistics. Thanks!

MUFON the Mutual UFO Network recently put their database online.

You might also try the National UFO Reporting Center

There are no official government records kept since Project Blue Book closed.
