My neighbor, who for anonymity sake I'll call "Little Miss better than you" was over this morning to let me know just how much more her husband makes than mine and why my children are going to have a hard time in life *unlike hers*. She's always dressed to the hilt, throws words like "heretofore" and "penultimate" around just to prove she's not a redneck, yet she has a habit of picking her nose. Today, while she was doing this, her press-on nail came off in her nose. I couldn't help it, I laughed so hard, my iced tea came out of my nose. I tried to stop her leaving in a huff, but I just couldn't stop laughing. I'm extremely sorry I was so rude, and I want to make it up to her. How do you think I should go about doing it? A card maybe? If so, what should it say?

I would get her one of those lovely "Thinking of you" cards with those gorgeous embossed gold leaf lettering.
On the inside, I'd include a new package of press on nails.

Didn't someone ask about Karma today? This is definitely in that category. But I suspect that "Little Miss better than you" has more than that coming her way.
