Copyrighted books are not available on line (legally).
However, there are several ways you can go. One, if you are still in school, check with your library. They may have access to an on-line library, where you can download books (but cannot copy them and they disappear after two weeks). This is also done with audio books.

There is no site like this. There are sites where you can pay to read books, but a site where you can read any book for free would be ILLEGAL!!

well it depends on which kind of book you'r reffering to! if its literature then you'd give online-literature and guttenburg(could have mis-splet this) project a try. but there is a catch, you would find only books whose copyrights have ellapsed.
but still there are so much of them in that category.
