Sorry, the best thing I could think of was the New Jersey Finches. The reason why is because New Jerseys State Bird is the Eastern Goldfinch. Which I have to say is the best looking bird ever.There nickname could be the Fighting Finches.

You asked for a good name for "a" (excellent use of grammar by the way) NFL team in New Jersey. Well New Jersey has two NFL teams that play in it - the Giants and the Jets. Clearly they are the best team names for NFL teams in NJ. If you want a name for a fake team that will never exist because there are already 2 teams playing in NJ, and one playing within a 10 minute car ride (the Eagles), you should have specified. Ask a legitimate question, and I will give you a legitimate answer.

That's a tough one. Most people associate New Jersey with pollution, chemicals, smog. etc. (No offense.) Maybe tie into Atlantic City somehow? USFL had the NJ Gamblers didn't they? NO other ideas.
