Start with the Family Services, welfare organization in your city. Tell them your problem.

They will not give you a car but may help find temporary housing and clothing for you and your daughter.

If you live in the USA go to your county Department of Human Services. Call local churches or Missions. Everyone falls on hard times. You need more though, get a trade if you don't have one. In the USA the government will help you, as a single mother, to get a education so you do not have to rely on government assistance for the rest of your life. It works, I'm living proof. They put me through school and now i have a very good job and can take good care of myself and my kids. Be strong, you have to for your child.

I WOULD FIRST CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL CHURCH, THEY WILL ALWAYS HAVE A WAY TO ASSIST YOU IN YOUR TIME OF NEED.
