Its not a lock.
The prez primaries are all about getting the base fired up (D and R alike)
Sure HRC appeals to most of the groups in the Dem party but so does Obama
One exciting thing about the Democratic party is that it is made up factions that have little in common: gays have very little in common with African Americans who have very little in common with people who are strong believers of global warming who have very little in common with labor unions who have vary little in common with people on welfare.
Until the convention it could go either way
I think a HRC/Obama ticket is too contrite. Obama is a better choice in my opinion for Prez than HRC. Obama would be better off to not take the VP ticket, let Edwards have it.
certainly the dem nomintion is HRC's to lose - but so was the 2004 election was Kerry's to lose - and HE DID!
the Democrats are too diverse to make any easy predictions
on the other hand, the Republican base is Families, church goers, Grandparents, small business, most proffessionals. This is a much tighter group so its weird (to me) that a front runner has not emerged yet

As long as the media keeps Clinton at the helm, she will not move unless the media finds a good reason (one of their own) not to like her.
Sounds like the media elects the presidents.

Yes. Things will change. There is still more than one year until the general election. Remember Howard Dean? He was the Dems front runner until the first primary election. He ended up winning nothing.

Do you really want to listen to Hillary's fingernails on a chalkboard voice for 4 or 8 years? Not to mention that her views about talking to the leaders of rogue nations were similar to Obama's just a few short years ago.

With the primaries still 6 months out, you can feel absolutely assured that nothing is done yet. It's not even too late for a new candidate to jump in the race.

Not likely. There's still a long time between now and the end of the campaign. If there's some scandal, or a major event (terrorist attack, environmental disaster, etc.) things might change, but she looks like a steamroller at this point.

This was finished before it was ever started.
It was all too obvious given Hillary's moves during her first term as Senator and how she conducted herself as First Lady. The only question was "When?"
If she is smart, Obama will not be her choice for running mate.

Unless Hillary makes some major mistake it looks like she has the nomination locked in.
Now all we have to wonder is who she'll choose for her running mate.
