There are so many cliches to choose from...
- Arrogance Comes Before the Fall (Icarus)
- Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover (Beauty & The Beast)
- Honestly is the Best Policy (the Boy Who Cried Wolf)
But the most interesting morals are the ones that aren't cliche, borrowed from a hundred fairy tales. If you're asking because you're trying to find a moral for your own story, try coming up with a new one. What's one of the most important life lessons you've ever discovered? What do you wish you had known earlier in life? Sometimes the less spoken truths are the greatest truths - and sometimes they even contradict those cliches that you've heard a thousand times before....
