You can try but I think you would be wasting your time. Most used Items are sold as is. I know this won't win me any points, but I think you are stuck with it. Using Craigslist is just like buying something out of the Sunday paper. It's Buyer beware. But hey why don't you post it on Craigslist and try to resell it.

If the item is defective (and not advertised as such) or was not as described the buyer would have legal recourse. No seller is required to take back an item if the buyer changes their mind.

I don't think there's anything you can do. Craigslist isn't as regulated as Ebay or Amazon or something, and they warn you every time you contact someone through their site (or vice versa) that you have to beware. I think you're out of luck, at least through CL. You might have a chance if you could find the person who sold it to you and took them to small claims court.

Sell it on Ebay. :)

Depends on the policies and procedures you agreed to, when you agreed to participate on Craigslist. Definitely read *all* the fine print on sites like that, even though it's no fun to do so.

If "they don't like what they bought" - tough luck. If there was any kind of misrepresentation on the part of the seller (you were lead to believe you were getting something else) then you should be able to get your money back.

If they misrepresented what they sold you, there is always small claims court.
