Don't fall for all the BS thats out there.. The double, triple, etc ground straps aint gonna do any better than a std. plug.. Plat plugs, split fires, etc are just to lighten your wallet and make you feel better, not the car.
I run 1 of the 3 in my chevy powered street and race cars.. AC delco, NGK, or Autolite.
For yours an AC delco R45TS would be about the best plug to run..
In my 1988 camaro street/strip car with a 350 engine (5.7L) I run AC delco R43S (older 60's double hump heads) My compression is higher, so I had to drop back on the heat range, and the old heads uses a gasket seat rather than a taper seat like yours.

You should call your local chevy parts dept.Sence your car came out there is a good chance the factory has upgraded the spark plugs for your engine.Get the AC-number for your plugs and buy the ac-plugs.Blow off the hype on so called better plugs.AC-spark plugs are made for your engine and will do a better job than aftermarket plugs.Best of luck.

Autolite brand; installed them in my 85 cavalier, had more power than the AC (now AC Delco brand) brand. Installed the Xp version in my 2002 Venture; at 79000 miles, the van's performance is at it's best than when it was new. I even installed autolite in a Honda and 2 Toyota's and noticed better performance.

Your 2.8 v-6 has a firing order of 123456. THe passenger side cylinders number 135 front to rear. The drivers side cylinders number 246 front to rear of eng. Don't remember exactly where #1 is on cap, but it will probably be one of the terminals on dist cap that are towards front of eng. Good luck. The distrib rotor turns clockwise when viewed from top.

I've had very good success with Champion plugs in Chevy's...but if you'll look at the emissions tag under the hood, you'll find the original plug, and gap that was installed at the factory, nothing wrong with those, either.
