out of experience you can do followign
1. krud cutter: this is non toxic and biodegradable
2. laquer thinner is great at removign alot of stuff, especially linoleum glue.
3. I have used gel paint stripper to loosen caulk, so it might work with the glue, not really sure as i never tried.
3. power washer, this is closest to scaping that you can get with out getting on your hands and knees. I have had extreme sucess just powerwashing the glue off, however the help of an loosening agent extremely helps things. besides rent it one day early in morning then when your done, powerwash your driveway, house, car, boat, sidewalks, outdoor furniture, garage floor, it is worth it...get highest you can, minimum of 2800 psi.
wash down with acetone to remove the residue after your done if your going to lay down any thing in place of this. I don't like to use goofoff often because it is toxic chemical , and fumes. Muratic acid is as well the same. Dont' get me wrong it is good cleaner, but wear gloves, respirator and goggles with this.

the best way to get it off is with muratic acid. Or if you go to the depot you can get concrete cleaner which is a watered down version of muratic acid. Pour it on let it sit if you have lots of glue get a scraper and knock down the built up areas then spray down with water... clean again.

There is this stuff called Goof Off, that should work nicely. It sounds like you might have to get an industrial sized jug of it though. I think you can find it at home improvement stores like Home Depot or Lowe's.
Be real careful with it though, it can burn your skin.

There are adhesive solvents used by floor covering installers. Comes by the gallon. Check flooring stores.
Most over the counter products are small cans. Will cost a fortune.
You will need a scraper.
I have a lighter!

For a large area, it will be a tediuos process with any type of solvent. The area may have to be sandblasted. The results will be twofold: The yellow stuff will be gone and your patio will look 'new.'

Try Goo Be Gone or Goof Off. You can buy them at Walmart or your local home improvement store.
