About 2 weeks ago my cucumber plants started dying. The vines are good and the cucumbers seem fine. The leaves are golden brown and filled with holes, I see no bugs. I use soaker hoses and planters paper. All other plants in the garden are doing great. Tomatoes, peppers, beans. I have a photo but I see that I can't use that here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would say that a few little friends showed up in early summer
"cucumber beetles"
they spread bacterial wilt disease

sorry there is nothing you can do now

I would say your cucumber plants are infested with worms. You can try the following treatments:

Cucumber worm – Whitish worm that bores into the fruit leaving frass at the point of entry. Control Cucumber worms with Agree, Dipel, Newbt.

For aphids, worms and mites:

Pesticide and formulation:

Malathion 8E (8 lbs. act./gal).
Method of Application: Ground by
mistflower or hand sprayer
Timing of Treatment: Early growing stage up
to USDA harvest limitation as required.
USDA limitation: 1.0 lb act./A; Timing – No time

Check out the following link for possible diseases

And here is a link to insects that attack cucumbers
http://hgic.clemson.edu/factsheets/HGIC2207.htm

As you will see, some of the insect also spread disease. It's hard to tell for sure what you're problem is without seeing your plants, but hopefully these links will help.
