Should The U.S. Congress investigate into 911?

There are many Americans who think that 911 was an inside job. The invasion and occupation of both Afghanistan and Iraq are based upon the claim that Muslims are responsible for 911. Now that the shock of 911 is over, and that many Americans are calling... even demanding that The U.S. get out of Iraq should there be a congressional investigation into 911?

first let me say, Iraq has never had, nor does it now have anything to do with 9/11... and it amazes me that one year after the invasion of Iraq 60-70% of Americans believed that they were involved.

other than that.. it's a little late now but I would have liked for an independent source to come in and evaluate what exactly happened on 9/11.. but like I said... too late now and there really isn't any reason to drum up that past that I know of.

There should be further investigations being the 911 commission had problems getting certain people to testify under oath. ( I won't mention names here.)

I don't think there is any evidence of US involvement in 911, but I bet you'll find some people who either weren't looking or looked the other way before the terrorists struck.

Why do some people not want to get to the truth? If we can spend 40 million to see who Bill had sex with, can't we spend an equal amount of money and time on an event that has shapped our future? I see an investigation as a good thing.

in fact the story of 911 began when your best friend Israel lost patience for waiting to build "greater Israel" , so it was a must to destroy some Muslim countries ,
without 911 it was not possible for USA to attack Afghanistan and Iraq , and yet to come Iran and Pakistan and Saudi Arabia , so you have a lot to do yet , don't go in un necessary details , with your common sense you can say it was done by CIA under the planning of Musad , you must feel happy as USA's best friend ( or Master ) is pleased with your performance.

911 gave Bush the excuse to invade the middle east. So what if it cost a few thousand lives?
It shocks me how ignorant some people are...Its even a fact that even a professional pilot would have severe difficulty in hitting the towers at that speed at the angle of approach. So how comes some wannabe amateurs who took lessons in a tutor pilot, nowhere near as big as a Boeing commercial airliner mannaged to crash it perfectly into a tower in a built up area? Come on open your eyes......for heavens sakes.
more than 28 suspects were arrested less than 24 hours after the attacks happened....Oh yeah, the americans just mannaged to pick up a nice clean copy of the passports on top of the rubble of a building of the alleged terrorists.

Congress can't even get enough votes, WITH A DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY, to impeach Bush and Cheney; these two criminals have done more than enough to be impeached for abuse of signing statements, allowing torture without court orders, outing a CIA operative, and lying about the presence of WMDs and Iraq's involvement in 911.

How can we then expect Congress to be gutsy or democratic enough to investigate the actual perpetrators of 911?

Ummm, in case you hadn't heard, they already did the investigation. Congress determined that 19 Islamic radicals aligned with and under the orders of Osama bin Laden and al-Queda hijacked four jetliners and crashed one each into the twin towers in NYC, one into the Pentagon, and the fourth, into a field in Pennsylvania after the passengers attempted to retake control of the plane.

Even better -- Osama bin Laden got on the internet via videotape, bragging about how he and his cronies in al-Queda had planned and carried out the attacks.
