Would it help you to know that most of the kids starting middle school are scared as well. Personally I don't think you would be human if you weren't afraid. We fear what we don't know. You probably feared your first day of school as you didn't know what would happen. This is no different sweetie. I will tell you that adults fear what they don't know as well. Everyone holds doubt and fear but we learn to adapt. Your second day of school won't be as scary because you will know what to expect. Your fear is perfectly normal. But you must not over think your first day of school as it will do you no good other than make you a nervous wreck. I will always remember my first days of middle school and high school specifically because I was afraid. But looking back on those memories I can't help but giggle as I feared fear itself. I was actually somewhat excited to be a middle schooler. I loved the fact that I was going to be treated like a teenager rather than a child. I was excited to pick my own lunch, change classes and attend school dances. I was excited and yet feared the unknown. Just know sweetie that you're worrying about the unknown. After a few days in middle school I think you will start to enjoy all the cool new stuff that comes with middle school. All of the football games and basketball games. There is so much more for you there to enjoy. I hope this helps you. Good Luck & God Bless!

It's normal to be scared when you start something new. Heck, I'm 24 and I get really nervous when I start a new job. You're nervous because you don't know what to expect, but once you get to know the new school and the new routine, your fear will disappear. Just try to look at this new experience as an opportunity to have fun, and most importantly, never worry too much about what other people think. That was my biggest problem when I was younger- I was always worried about what other people thought of me, and so I analyzed every little thing that I did. Once I got past that, and decided that my opinion of myself was much more important than anyone else's, I was much happier.

Don't worry!! You will have fun! Actually all the other kids will be nervous too.. Some are just better at hiding it than others. Just be yourself and you can't go wrong. You will probably even see some old faces that you recognize and be able to go up to and chat with. If not- you will meet new people in class.. Join clubs so you can start making friends ASAP. Have fun! Everyone is nervous on their first day back.. Even the teachers!!

It can be really frightening to start middle school. BUT it can also be a real adventure. Think of this an opportunity for you to get to know new people. There are many kids that are scared. As you find new people these fears will go away. You're going to be fine take a deep breath and tell yourself you can do it! Meet other new kids and stick together. You are going to be fine!

Middle School/High School is not that bad. If you're scared of being bullied, it's not nearly as bad as in the movies. Rumors and kids making drama are most likely the only things you'll have to worry about. But don't let those things interfere with your experience.
You'll be pressured into doing a lot of things, but keep your head held high and don't let things get to you. Enjoy your youth while you still have it!!
Wear your seatbelt, don't drink or do drugs and you should be ok!

Yes there will be DrAmA. but dont worry about it. u already have some friends to back u up and they combine schools 4 middle school so i assure u u will make more. The school is easy to get around because most classes r arranged near each other. teachers-just be polite and dont get caught breaking rules and they wont be a problem.

Don't be scared. I am going to middle school also in a few weeks. It seems scary at the beginning but we'll have a good time.

don't worry, trust me it is not as scary as it seems. Honesty I find the the younger kids to be more nasty than the older ones. So I wouldn't worry so much about the high schools attending also. Just don't worry, be confident, be yourself, you will be fine. I was nervous too when I first started middle school, and even when I started high school, and I found I really did not need to be.

Please help with what? We can't come over there and protect you from the forces of evil big kids or anything. You'll be fine. It's totally fair to be scared (I'm very nervous going into being an upperclassmen in a few weeks) but nothing bad is going to happen to you! Work will be more challeging, and you'll meet new people! That's all there is to a new school year.

Just be yourself and work hard, and I promise you'll be more than fine.
