You can either beg for stars which is incredibly annoying or you can just ask really good well thought out questions. Either way, stars don't hold much weight to them. Someone can be a horrible question asker but have 100's of stars for no reason.

You have to ask an interesting question.
A VERY interesting one, because the great majority of questions do not get starred.
