That night I noticed all of my trash had been cleared. The best of all evils is that he was interested in some adult stuff I'd erased but now I'm paranoid and wondering if everything I typed is getting sent to him.Now do I have to make sure I never order anything online so he doesn't get my card #?What's your guess?I know I should have been staring at him the whole time but I had to go pee!

First, change your password. Go to Control Panel, User Accounts, and click on your name.
Next, make sure your anti-virus and anti-spyware software are up to date and active.
Learn how those two pieces of software work and find out how to keep anybody from accessing your computer remotely.
If you're using Windows, go to My Computer and click on the Properties item at the bottom of the menu. Open up the Remote Tab.Make sure the two checkboxes, "Allow Remote Assistance..." and "Allow Users to remotely access this computer" are NOT checked. Click on the "Select Remote Users" box and make sure that NOBODY is in that box, and delete anyone there.
It's possible that your trash was emptied innocently, just as a matter of cleaning things up, but if you're at all suspicious, then change your password and never reuse that old one.

Also, if you have wi-fi, make sure you have a firewall and use it. Windows' firewall is meager; Norton's is a lot better, and there are even better ones available. Make sure your wi-fi is passworded.

Make sure anytime you're typing in sensitive information like a credit card, that you check that the website is https:// That "S" means the site is secured. Even better, check to see if it's Verisigned. You'll see the Verisign logo if it is. Earthlink's webmail offers free alternative email addresses that are one-time-use so you don't have to give out your correct email.

Hacking can only be done on the internet, I am not sure that he will be able to access your Credit Card info online. The first thing you can do now is get a good firewall for your computer and it will stop unauthorised access . Hope it helps.

Right click "My Computer" > go to properties > click the "Remote" tab > and under "Remote Desktop" un-check the "Allow users to connect remotely..."

If it's already un-checked just make sure your firewall is up, and download some anti spyware programs like Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search and destroy. You can get them free at the link (just search for them).

Also check for programs like RealVNC (remote desktop programs) and delete them.

Stop act like a paranoid. Just download a good firewall like ZONE ALARM, read the manual so you get familiar with it, anbd let it organize what let-in or let-out of your PC, and you will be just fine.

The second rule of getting computer help is to never go pee when someone is on your computer. The first rule was empty your computer of anything you don't want others to see before you let them touch it.
