And why do they have to correct someone? Just because THEY know the correct spelling, or are better at typer, or grammar, or prefer using spell check, doesn't mean they have to be smart-a$$s all the time and continue correcting others. Especially on here. People come on here to ask a question, play around, have fun, or whatever. Not to be judged. I see so many people come on here and instead of people answering their question, they have to correct how they asked it. I apologize for venting, but there are so many that don't have the same schooling, or aren't as smart as others, and not act like know-it-alls and I bet they would agree with me. Why can't people just leave well enough alone and stop with the judging, criticism, correcting, and just leave well enough alone...?
Again, I apologize for venting, but too many on here are hurt for being corrected over and over. back off people, its all for fun!
(O and i didnt uz spel chek ether...)

I asked a question on here about this a while back. I think I labeled it as murdering the English language. If I know an answer to a question on here, I will answer it. If I cannot understand what someone is saying on here because the language in the question is borderline foreign, that's bad. A misspelling is one thing. A typo is another. Those things can be overlooked. Using internet lingo is fine, but if you can't form a complete sentence then you have to find another forum. A sentence does not become a question because someone decides to put a question mark at the end of the sentence. I have seen that on here countless times. I don't correct people very often on here, but in everyday conversations I will do it in a heartbeat. Say words that you know the definition to and don't try to be smarter than what you are. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, but know your limits. I wrote a blog on this subject on my Yahoo 360 page. Check it out. Anyway, I have answered a number of your questions and I have either overlooked your typos, not paid attention to them or there weren't any.

Because....
Everyone is different. It's what makes individuals well.... individual. Some might ask why do you have to take everything so personally? It's just a bunch of people with superiority complexes. Some might say that there are certain smart _____ kids out there trying to be funny in any way they can... in other words, being kids and you just need to get over it and roll with the punches (they have little hands). Some might say that, in posting this you have become one of them.... judgemental, critical, correcting (of their behavior).
I would say that you're just different! =) and have some fun with it....Mis-spell everything for a wee bit and laugh at them, for a change.
By the way, incorrect spelling in a more formal venue irritates me but I don't generally have to correct or belittle people because of it.

Vent away, sister. Pretty baby by the way. They could be jealous of that gorgeous child. I feel the same way you do. It's not their job to correct grammatical errors/spelling. The only way they can make themselves feel superior is to make others feel inferior. Keep asking and answering and don't let the losers get you down. They're probably very unhappy people, and they're jealous that you're a happy camper with an adorable baby. In other words, screw them.

Wow, I never really thought of it like that. Good for you for opening some folks eyes. I don't care if someone mispells a word or uses incorrect grammar but I have to admit that I do get bothered when people type like, "diz or dat" and stuff like that. If they are going to ask a question where they want people to give them a real answer, how can we take them seriously if people strain to read them. that's the only thing that really annoys me. But I really don't care enough to comment.

It is perhaps their nature or they are just TOO PROUD to tell everybody that they are smart. Maybe they are just being too smart, that is all. The best solution is to totally avoid all these type of people and look the other way around or feel miserable the whole day.

Because most people know how to type, yet don't respect the English language and instead make up their own language. If you want to be treated good, then type good.
If you walk around all day in sloppy clothes covered with dirt and show you don't care about yourself, no one will treat you with respect. Same goes for typing.

Makes them feel better about their own insecurities, at least for a while, though people should realize it does not work, because they have to keep doing it over and over and over......
And you should feel free to vent. It is your post, if it bothers people, they should go to another forum. I try not to judge people, and usually only take shots at htose who are already trashing other people. I do however sometimes post a correction if someone is just blatantly wrong, though I try not to be a jerk about it.

You are right. Especially here. People ask questions. They don't know. That's why they ask. Duh! Let them ask. If you don't like it, go to the next question.
I hate when people think it's funny to put someone else down. That's not funny. Funny is making fun of yourself.
To HELL with spell check! Use it or not. Lighten up, people. If you are Bill Gates, why are you here? If you're not Bill Gates, you aren't so haughty that you need to be insulting.
