Here is a link to a website to find substance abuse treatment in the US. http://dasis3.samhsa.gov/
I found at least 10 in Santa Fe, and 35 within 100 miles. 22 of those have some form of payment assistance, whether it is a sliding scale based on your income or some sort of grant funding. You can search based on your specific criteria (Outpatient, Residential, etc.)
Good Luck!

Sorry to hear about that. I am not familiar with the New Mexico area but here is a link to narconon:

What saved someone close to me was the fact that they could have died but they were able to quit cold turkey. As radical as that sounds, it's true. Someone in the heavens was certainly looking out for them! But sometimes, different methods are needed.

The reason for a rehab program is because they would know how to cleanse and detox your system first to get rid of your body's dependence. Someone who is qualified can help you with identifying what kind of addiction is going on and provide a treatment for different types of addiction.

At this point no-one can force you to go, but it seems like you want some help, so your reaching out and that's the first step. Let them know of your financial situation and they can possibly work out a plan for you. Not every program is a one size fits all, it should fit your specific needs. I hope this helps, and if not maybe someone else can provide better information- md

First of all, a psychologist is only going to tell you what you don't want to hear. And then secondly, this person that's in dire need of companionship will only become defensively aggressive with the counselor and the counselor's so-called diagnostic opinions. We need to have your friend admitted into a drug rehab facility, and then of course, this person will be able to dry up the mind and body from the substance abuse, and at the same time, receive the professional counseling that they need as well--we need to "kill two birds with one stone."
