El Cortez, Las Vegas?

Is the construction work at the El Cortez still going on ? Does the El Cortez provide a free shuttle to and from McCarren airport for their guests? Are the rooms at the El Cortez clean, decent?

The Shuttle leaves the El Cortez on the even hours from 10am to 4pm(I believe) - You have to let the front desk know, and they will reserve you a spot.

It's like "Rossie" said the tower rooms are very nice. The Pavilion rooms are clean and reasonable. >I stayed in each for 2 nights this past June<

They were doing some work, but it was not a problem.

CAT bus, both the #108 Paradise & #109 Maryland Pkwy North go from McCarran to downtown. one or the other stops at the AP about every 6 minutes. Catch the bus from "Ground Level Transportation 0"

The "tower" rooms in El Cortez are among the best downtown (below the standard of the golden nugget but every bit as good as places like the four queens, fremont hotel, main street station).

I didn't know there was construction going on at the El, i knew the Streamline high-rise tower is still going up next door though and that is probably very noisy at present :(

And no El-cortez does not provide a free-shuttle to the airport for guests and neither does any other hotel in Las Vegas not within half a mile of McCarren. Airport hotels are the only ones with free airport shuttles. The CAT 108 bus goes directly to McCarran from down the road past El Cortez though and vice versa.
