Well to start of there is racism all over the world, not just the United States. Racism has been a problem as long as there were people of different races. I highly doubt that the answer you are looking for will come on yahoo answers. All I can say though is that you have to make your own choice on being racist. People will always make bad decisions wither its as a country or as a individual. There will always be some racism against some race. The minority(meaning the race people are racist against) changes by time and by the country. The only thing you can do is encourage people to not be racist. I like your question but there isn't really a permanent solution to racism, you can only do what you see best to do. It really is a personal decision. Don't get lost in the crowd. Form your own opinion (not your parents or friends) of what is going on in the world. If you go back in history and look at the Holocaust(that wasn't in the United States) you'll see that it didn't happen because of one person. We can blame country's or world leaders for racism but it really does start at home.

Well it would be nice that everyone in America would think that way about racism, I agree. But think who was the real first culture racist here in America think about it carefully. Racism is a feeling that's really hard to forget about once it cuts you, you carry those wounds with you for a long time maybe forever and unfortunately that anger is passed on to the children. Racism is racism no matter where you are their are always racist people around the world. Until you have felt or you have walked through a hispanics or black person's shoes only then you will know what real hate towards you is just because of your skin color. But I do agree we are all human why cant we get along.

Yes the Europeans have nicer manners than we do but they can be just a racist as us if given a chance. Don't try and travel around Europe as a Gypsy.
As bad as slavery and Jim Crow was it still wasn't quite as bad the ethnic cleansing during the wars in Yugoslavia or the genocide of of WWII.
But back to Americans we are racists because we live a society that promotes that. The American Dream is new house, a new car and gun to defend it all. We are in competition with and are pitted against everyone.
We could get along but racism is serves the interests of the rich. It's their entertainment, watching poor and middle class Americans fight each other for the scraps instead of asking why the top 1% of this country owns over 50% of the wealth.

Not everyone in the United States is a racist. But some black Americans are racist against White people because they're angry at White people for they way that their ancestors were treated during slavery & under Jim Crow Laws. Some White Americans are racist against black people because they think they commit a lot of crime, & that they blame White people for all of their problems in life. And both black & White Americans are sometimes racist against Mexicans/Hispanics because they think that there are too many Mexican illegal immigrants coming to America.
But people who are racist can be racist for several different reasons.Maybe it's fear, anger, resentment, or maybe they just don't like people who are different from them.
But it seems to me that most people only get angry when it's a White person being racist. And White people are the only group that it's okay to be racist against.

Not everybody. There are two that I know who are not racists. You and me. As for Europe (and every other place in the world), they're all nice to you when they know you're just visiting and spending money to help their economy along. It's another story if you go live there with them. Then they are worse than the United States because there will be only one non-racist there. Of course, that will mean you have made the United States worse, too, by leaving only me here.
Why can't we all get along? Because nobody else is like you and me.

Do you understand that a racist is someone who believes they should get special privileges because of their ethnicity/race? When most people say racist, they really mean bigot.
Not everybody in the United States is a racist, some people are just bigots, others are simply ignorant of the facts, and then there are folks who are not in the least bit racist.
Hate to tell you this, but Europe does have it's own racist elements.

I really don't believe that racicsm is strictly confined to the U.S. That's a very gross generalization. I'll agree that it is prevelant, mostly I think that people react to things they are uncomfortable with and I think that people are uncomfortable with things they know very little about.
I have been to europe through a study abroad program and spent a considerable amount of time there. While I as a white female never experienced much racism against me, several male white men in my group did for being American in certain areas. One guy who was of persian decent but no less american than any of us experienced a ton of racism especially in smaller towns.
When people are angry at some one rationally or irrationally it's easy to claim it's because of their race, sex or even age. When most time their actions have nothing to do with any of those things.
Mainly it's just ignorarance when someone results to racism. Many American's have not been lucky enough to visit a foreign country or to be brought up in a culture where globalizaton is so prevelant and important as it is in Europe. We as a nation also tend to be arrogant because so few have experienced anything outside their own world.

Not everyone in the United States is racist! It would be better to ask why people are racist at all. Also, if you think no Europeans are racist, you're in for a rude wakeup call. Have you ever heard of French racism against immigrants from the Middle East? That's just one example of many. It is hardly a problem unique to the United States.
Racism occurs because people overgeneralize traits belonging to one group, kind of like how you're calling everyone in the United States racist. If we could avoid blanket statements, it would go a long way towards improving things.

Divide and conquer.
As long as we are fighting each other we won't see that we are all getting the shaft.
You've heard the song 'The World is a Ghetto' by the Group War?
Well there is a lot of truth in that.
In the ghettos people are kept apart by gangs and who is lighter and what is your financial status(imagine, poor people looking down on other poor people!)
If you look at the situation around the world, the faction that controls the power is doing the same thing.
As long as we are fighting each other we don't really noticed that our fresh air is being turned into poison and our water is becoming toxic, for profit.
It's a shame we could not put down our hate for long enough to save the planet.

Generalize much? Everyone is not racist, there are extremists in every race. I feel that you sterotyped me as a racist because you state that "like seriously everybody in the United States are racist." Is that fair? NO, but you did it anyway, just like some people will believe that their race is better than all of the others wether we like it or not. Thats never going to change, no matter how ignorant it is.
