Oh my gosh, I am freaking out! My husband was to report for jury duty this morning and he/we forgot and he didn't go! The paper fell off the fridge so we forgot all about it! He is on his way there now (at 3:15pm) but he was to be there at 8:30 this morning. Without being immature jerks and telling me that he's going to jail just to be funny.... If you honestly know-What kind of trouble could he be in?

It is too late for him to go because the jury is selected in the morning. He is not in any trouble. He just needs to call the court and offer to come in for the next case where a jury is needed. They may just say forget it because a lot of times people show up for jury duty but are dismissed because the case settles at the last minute. He wouldn't be punished if no one else had to serve as a juror either. At worst he could get a fine for contempt of court but it is pretty unlikely. People don't show up all the time. They are prepared for it.

Given the late time, don't bother going today. Call the court clerk and ask to reschedule.
