...insulting the President this late in the game rather than focus on real issues? Are they still angry about Gore's loss? Or Kerry's? Are they just worried about the next election so they will say anything possible against our President, country, troops, etc. just for political gain?

They are trying to hide the fact that their whole political platform is based on screwing hard working Americans. So they rip on anything they can get their hands on to cover up what they are really doing in office. Which is giving money away to people who choose to be here illegally and who don't want to work for a living and taxing the hell out of the rest. Just like global warming, just another reason to cover what they're doing and focus on some massive pile of b.s. The republicans have done more for our environment than the demmys can dream of.

I think "insults"--Or are they usually and actually well thought-out questions? Think about it hard, because insults are always a waste of time--about this President are the result of focusing on "real issues." The "liberals" are definitely not saying anything against the country or troops!

The great majority of people living in a country involved in war will not say anything against the troops, who need all the help they can get to survive mentally as well as physically. Anyone living in a country not in the midst of civil war or crushing poverty will likewise be happy they are there.

"Liberals," like "right-wingers," or whatever each side is called, are of course concerned about the next election... It's already time to be thinking about the candidates and issues to vote for or against. Presidential elections require a lot of information, study and thought on all fronts, don't you agree?

There's no "political gain" in these thoughts except that of having an election wherein the voting public has read about and studied the issues, candidates, etc. and can make informed decisions.

No one thinks of the past (meaning old races for the office of President) at this stage...it's all about the future.

Angry about Gore and Kerry losing? Both were worthless.

Worried about the next election? Not particularly. I have faith in people for this one, and if Im wrong then I'll just continue as I have under Bush. Fight what you can, deal with what you cant.

I have never insulted our troops or country and find your implication insulting to me and my fellows.

Why do I insult the President? I rarely do, but when I do it is because his policies have me so outraged I cant think straight. The man has assaulted our freedoms in every way possible. He has used fear to keep us docile and under control. He has been slowly striping away the freedoms that are guaranteed in the Bill of Rights. He has set up the gov't for a hostile takeover by whoever makes the grab for it-no, it probably wont work, but he's laying the ground work for the attempt via executive orders. He is supposed to interpret the law, not make the law.

Why do I insult him? Because it revolts me that a man can be President and still put his own interest above that of the country and the people he was elected to represent.

It may be for the same reason the Republicans controled by neocons spent an enormous amount of time and money going after Clinton over a BJ that was nobody's business but between him, Monica and Hillary.

When it comes to focusing on real issues all they need to do is mention it and the GOP members do everything in their power to stop it. Since Bush has made the war the only issue of his presidency it stands to reason that everyone focuses on the one issue. The Republicans can't have it both ways but some want it that way. Either focus on real issues and not the war or focus on the war and not the issues. Democrats want to focus on the war and real issues but they are stifled by either the GOP in Congress or their President.

I don't know why Reps spend so much time trying to paint over the failings of this President, its pointless, he is glaringly incompetent in more than just a war he can't pay for, he is useless at domestic issues, and we have scientists around the world laughing at our return to the caves. None of the real issues of our time has be helped by Bush, that's why all the discussion.
I'd rather have us expend some time learning what our next bunch of candidates expect to do than getting distracted by a thirty year old war and who went and served and who went to the dentist.
Or haircuts, or religion, or if Hillary is wearing pink or has cleavage.

If you really love your country you want the best for it, clearly Bush has not been the best. This is a proper ground for discussion, lets not get hoodwinked again.

What are the real issues ? The war or gay marriage ? Health care or going to Mars ? You have to admit, every other week there's something going on with Bush, usually bad. Maybe some of it could be over hyped but how many scandal's have there been now ?

I find it funny that you don't consider wanting the troops to come home as being a way of supporting them.

It is extremely possible to support the troops, but not the person who told a speech full of lies, and made them go into battle in the first place.

Anyone who loves Democracy should be angry about Gore's "loss". But no, they're upset with the President now because it seems that he's gone Veto happy. He refuses to endorse any bill that doesn't include carte-blanche funding for the war on terrorism. Immigration reform, education reform, bills designed to end government corruption- if there's no pork for the Pres, it gets the stamp.

Besides, it really doesn't take massive amounts of time to insult President Bush. He keeps that really, really easy.

Maybe because the president cheated his way into office and didn't deserve to be president anyway. Al Gore would have been the perfect leader of this nation, maybe even making it less corrupt if it wasn't for the whole "recount" in Florida. I spend less of my time now insulting and more of it rejoicing that Bush only has such little time left in office. Just because I don't support the president doesn't mean I don't care about the troops. They are being used as pawns in this horrible little game of his.

Are you saying the President has nothing to do with the real issues?

And why do cons spend massive amounts of time insulting Clinton nearly seven years after he left the White House? Is it because they spent $60 million on an investigation that produced nothing but an irrelevant personal matter? Is it because they never could get a conviction after their frivolous impeachment? Is it because he was so popular and won the White House at a time Republicans thought that they'd hold onto it forever? Or is it because Junior screwed things up so bad that they'll probably not have another President for quite some time now?
