This has always confused me, it seems an awful lot of european countries do not abide by the standards, hence the carbon monoxide incident in portugal (i think), truth known, a lot of the standards are not adhered to here because it is difficult to police without public and trade support (which is sadly lacking) but it seems, if there are standards set in europe, we are the first to adopt them, and at least try to police them, ie Corgi, Napit, Nicec, etc

So that there will be one recognized set of STANDARDS-
a little like the inch/meter argument...which is better?
two sets of standards, no agreement.
