Poor relative to what? When I was growing up we had no money but we weren't poor. We were wealthy in love, relatives, conversation, imagination...
Maybe people get mad when they sense arrogance or a false sense of entitlement. That would put anyone's nose out of joint.

I guess it depends on the question and how arrogantly or not you asked it.
Because of arrogant comments like the jerk below me. Do you think that "poor" people don't work? I don't consider myself wealthy but I work 40 hours a week and go home and cook dinner for my husband (who works 70 hours a week) and clean up after him and myself and go to bed to do it all again.

because some poor people actaully work harder to make their money while the rich sit on their *** and tell everyone their rich like their something special
