why isent it illegal for a minor to try an buy cigereetes?

What country are you in?
In most countries it is illegal to buy cigarettes if you are under the age of majority, or if you are purchasing cigarettes for someone under the age of majority. There is a fine, and even jail time for repeat offenders, depending on your location.
The same goes for other things like alcohol.

If you are asking if it is illegal, then yes. If you are asking why, cigs are dangerous and should not be smoked by minors.

its is illegal thats why they cant buy them, and furthermore its really not a big deal, if a kid wants them, its not like he or she are out killing or breaking into houses, they are just smoking
