Because they are unavailable. I think it works both ways. Do men pay more attention to married women?
I'm married and pretty much the only man I pay attention to is my husband. We have been married just over a year. We've been together just under 3 years. I love him lots and lots.

I don't know that I pay more attention to married men. I do know that if it comes down to having a conversation with a married man or a single man (in a bar for instance) I will talk to the married man. I just feel like the married man is safe. That if I am sitting with a single guy it's suspicious (I am married). I know, it doesn't make any sense (the married guy could be looking for something too) but it's my theory!

That's not true. I see a married man I leave that alone. That is trouble not worth having. I think it all depends on the woman and what that married man is offering. She's deluded if she thinks he'll leave his wife for her. And why would a woman want a man who left his wife for her anyway? Wouldn't he do the same to her?
Of course, women who prefer married men may not want a commitment and thus see married men as safe. Or they like to cause trouble because they are unhappy with themselves.
Good Luck

I was never approached as often until I was married. As soon as I had my wedding band on, married and single women became very forward and no holds barred. I believe its a secure feeling for women, who don't want any complications, but rather just a close relationship which leaves them protected from exposure.???

DJM is right. I have noticed for some time now that they see a married man as someone who will take care of his family. So, the try to weasel in on that so they can be taken care of. Alot of men fall for it. My ex did and now his life is miserable....LMAO
Amy, yes to the question won't they do it to them? My ex was cheating on her 5 months after they moved in together. He can't stand her kids, our kids disowned him, she tells him what he can and cannot do, she sits on her fat *** and won't work, (she quit her job once he moved in) So yeah, it is usually a mistake...I get to sit back and laugh now.

I agree with the question..I'm not married and very devoted to my girlfriend but these women keep coming up when they see me how I treat my other half.
What's the deal with that?
I would never cheat on my girl but it just bothers me that people will try to get to you when they know they cant have what the other person has.

maybe there is something attractive about a man that can actually make a commitment. however, i don't know why they would pay them more attention because they are already taken.
